Oh my goodness, I just wrote about this at my blog this morning:

Yes, sleep is SO important. I think as mothers, it's the first thing we let go of, because we're "used to it" after having babies. But getting that much-needed sleep is not optional...it's a necessity!

This was a great post! And I, too, love the sound of "profound sleep" as a cure for whatever is ailing us! I feel very fortunate in our house that at this point, we all get enough sleep. Most nights, both my kids AND my husband are in bed by 7:30. Even though my husband gets up at 3 or 4 a.m., he still gets nearly 8 hours of sleep a night. And both of my kids usually sleep between 11 and 12. I enjoy the quiet alone time but usually hit the sack by 9ish. Sleep is really a high priority in our house. We have definitely annoyed some family and friends over the years, but I do not regret a single moment of making it a high priority. It would be fabulous if it was easier for more people to do!
