It’s January 7th, 2010. (yes, one year from now)
In a word or two, a mode or a mood, sum up your 2009.
How do you want it to go?
Go ahead, toss it out there.

“Liberating”… yes! Liberty! I haven’t thought of that word separated from patriotism before but that’s my word, or one of ‘em, for 2009. I am also reminded of this fantastic story told by Jack Kornfield, ‘What Women Want’. I heard it on Joe Frank a long time ago. You should definitely go listen to it and I hate to give away the ending, but in the parable what they discover that women want is SOVEREIGNTY. Freedom from external control. In my case it’s freedom from the control I hold over myself, holding myself to deeply held beliefs implanted long ago that no longer serve me. Sorry, this is a long one, but YAY 2009!! I already love you!

Action!
2009 has been a year of jubilant action – momentum in the right direction, and enjoying (most) every minute of it.
Rather than a big resolution girl, I’m a big fan of the “word for the year” or setting the “tone” for the year. I also like the idea of bringing last year’s word along for this year’s ride. Last year, my word was “enjoy” – and boy did I ever (even with several rough patches) This year, I’m interested in tackling a few things that have been itching at my brain, and also just getting more active with my day-to-day menial tasks that I tend to avoid to the point of overwhelm. I figure if I take action and add enjoy – that makes for a darn good formula.
Here’s to a year of action, enjoyment and all around FUN.
